Crucial System Scanner

GigaByte GV-N62128DE

The retail package will include a DVI adapter and a multi-purpose output adapter with S-video and composite RCA Red/Green/Blue connectors. The CD has drivers, a VGA utility from Gigabyte which allows overclocking, and the DVD player software package PowerDVD. In keeping with a budget theme, there will be no games bundled with the card.

Since the card requires no active cooling and does not need an external power source, the GigaByte 6200 would make a great counterpart to any small form factor system. This particular system is from Skyhawk (Eagle Tech) and is called the IMC6375. It is a typical Intel 865 chipset small form factor with a single PCI and AGP slot. Toaster's, as we have nicknamed these small computers, can be worse than a jigsaw puzzle to assemble. You can see from the cutout picture above that there isn't a lot of space above and behind the card. Maneuvering the card into place takes a bit of patience, but can be accomplished with a steady hand.

One the card is physically installed all that's left is installing drivers. Until nVidia released the Forceware 77.72 drivers, we were forced to use the drivers supplied by GigaByte. However, the newest nVidia drivers now support the 6200 AGP series. So for testing purposes,  I'l be using the WHQL certified 77.72 driver set which can be downloaded directly from nVidia's website.
