Testing Continued:
Half Life 2:
Episode 2
.jpg)
Half Life has always been one of my favorite
games and it seems Half Life 2 has taken on a life all of its own.
The Orange Box is one of the few titles I own for both the PC and
the Xbox 360 - I like it THAT much. It was only natural that I
include some benchmark results from Episode 2.

All we're going for here is an average frame
count with maximum eye candy enabled. Even at the highest tested
resolution of 1920x1200, Gigabytes card is able to post frame rates
will over 120 frames per second.
Unreal Tournament
3

Unreal Tournament is full of fast paced action.
You'll need to know that your video card is able to keep up to your
own twitch reflex.

With help from a 3rd party application from HardwareOC,
I was able to benchmark the performance of the 8800GT with Unreal
Tournament 3. Results are reported much in the same way the old FEAR
benchmark presented scores. You'll get the average frame rate
represented in blue on the chart. The red bar shows the percentage of
how many frames were above the 30 frames per second target.
Enemy Territory:
Quake Wars
Quake Wars is the latest installment in the
Quake saga. Enemy Territory is quite a bit different than the other
Quake games, moving away from the tiresome death match and capture
the flag to a more goal oriented style of combat.

Quake Wars frame are exceptional until we
get to the 1920x1200 resolution. Not that 90 FPS is bad,
but obviously 157 FPS is much better. The more common resolution of
1680x1050 is still posting marks well over 100 FPS.
