Crucial System Scanner

One of the most overlooked items when upgrading is the power supply.  Most people just seem to assume that power is power.  This is untrue.  Your power supply is one of the most important components in your system.  Without good quality power, your system can experience power fluctuations that can cause errors and data corruption.

As consumers are becoming more aware of the importance of a high quality power supply, companies are trying harder to bring the very best to the market.  Fortron/Source is one of the makers of high quality power supplies.  FSP has been in many prebuilt computer systems and are now offering aftermarket power supplies for the consumer. Today, I'm looking at their newest product, the FSP530-60GNA.

The first thing people want is eye-appeal.  It doesn't matter if you are shopping for a new computer or a new car.  If it catches your eye, you are going to want it.  FSP has that eye-appeal with their new power supply.  This is the first power supply that I've seen that is Nickel plated.  This makes this power supply ideal for a "show" computer.  Almost everyone has a "show" computer, whether it's a case window or a complete acrylic case.

A little polish and that baby would look like a mirror.  This is the most powerful power supply that FSP offers.  Below you will see the specifications.
