Antec TruePower Trio 650 Watt Power Supply Review

Antec has a reputation for providing some of the most impressive power supplies on the market.  From the outstanding NeoPower 480 to the ultra quiet Phantom 500, Antec has set the bar pretty high when it comes to power supply quality.  With the introduction of the TruePower Trio 650 power supply Antec hopes to built on this reputation for quality and stability.  Let see how well it stacks up here at the Club!

Antec has been making power supplies under the TruePower name for a while and the Trio marks what looks like the third generation design.  The Trio name is also fitting in the addition of three separate 12 Volt rails.  Having three separate +12 V rails  allows your power supply to distribute power more evenly resulting in more system stability.

Antec is one of the few companies in the power supply business not afraid to show you every specification on the box.  That's probably because Antec is also famous among enthusiasts for accurately rating their power supplies to deliver their full rated power all of the time, not just at peak.  You pay for a 650 Watt power supply why would you want one that really runs more like 430?
