Setup:

To setup the WNHDEB111 Kit, I chose to leave each
of the units in Auto. So much emphasis is on ease of setup and
use, I thought I would see if setting up the bridge would be as easy
as the advertising suggests. On the Computer side, I will be
hooking the first unit directly to my D-Link DIR-655 wireless
Router. The router is hooked directly to my Qwest DSL Modem
and runs the four devices currently in my Lab. The wireless
currently supports my Wife's office and the downstairs entertainment
center.

The second unit will be used to wirelessly bridge my entertainment
system into the network. The downstairs system supports an
Onkyo TX-875 Receiver in 7.1, A DirecTV HD DVR, a Toshiba DVD-R, the
Playstation3 and a Wii all hooked to a Toshiba 50 inch Plasma TV.
Traditionally I use a Phone line for the DirectTV box and the built
in wireless for the two game machines. But with the Netgear
WNHDE111 I will be running the DirecTV and the Playstation3 wired
directly through the kit.
Software:

The software provided with this kit includes the
documentation and a configuration assistant. Ignoring the
documentation, I went right for the wizard!

The first thing the wizard prompts you to do is
plug in both devices and turn them on. So far so good!
Next you must push the button on the front of the second device.
After a quick jog down the stairs I was rewarded with this screen,
device detected!

I am pretty sure I could have stopped here as
everything worked and the new wireless network proved secure to my
prying laptop. However since we know these units both function
as full featured Access points, I decide to take a closer look at
what additional options the software offered.
To use the software you must first set a secure
password. Believe me, "password' is not going to make anyone
but the neighbors happy in the long run! With five or more
local wireless signals available from the office alone, you know the
whole neighborhood will love your new high speed connection.

The software prompted me for a new software update, as seen here.
I was able to download the update and auto install in less than two
minutes.
