7 Zone USA Noise Reducing Hardware Kits

Who likes a noisy system?  No one that I know, myself included.  7 Zone USA sent over some kits than can put the finishing touches on a system build up to help reduce vibration related noise.  Let's take a look and see they deliver the goods!

The Skinny

They sent over two packages, one 3.5" to 5.25" HDD vibration mounts, including screws and rubber isolators.  The other item is a box of misc. fasteners for all the peripherals that may vibrate and cause noise as well as some pads for the system case.  Looking at their site, their grasp of English is fair enough and going through the products, they show that they are well made.

Here's what my hard drives look like using the vibration screws included from the box-o-stuff.  Do they make a difference in noise?  Really hard to say unless I had a specialized sound chamber and testing tools.  I give it an A+ for looks though.

Conclusion

Neat box of fasteners, I especially liked the hard drive screws.  They gave the drive installation a high tech look and hopefully they will help to reduce the overall system noise.  I didn't like the looks of the rubber fasteners for the fan, but if you are trying to build the silent case, you may give them a try.  Overall everything looked like it was well made with durability in mind.  Actually finding a retailer that sold these was not to be so.  They do provide a link on their site for buying from them as a distributor.

Editors note:  Some of the 7zoneUSA products can be found on NewEgg under the I-Star brand.
