Today Federal Express, AKA Santa, dropped off some very promising memory
from Mushkin for our testing pleasure. It has been a very long time
since we've tested anything from Mushkin, so I've been very eager to
check out what they've been up to all this time. The Denver based
company has several lines of memory ranging from the budget to the
Extreme Performance (XP) line. The memory we have here today is from
their "High Performance" line which is just a step under their Extreme
Performance line. With latency timings of 4-5-4-11, we should receive
some very good results on our C2D E6600 based test system. So with the
ASUS P5W DH Deluxe motherboard warmed up and ready, let's see what this
Mushkin DDR2 has to offer.

The
Mushkin memory came nicely packaged. The blue heatspreaders are a nice
touch and keeps things simple. No weird flashing lights or expensive
looking logos. Maybe Mushkin believes in concentrating on delivering a
high quality product instead of a pretty wrapping? We'll soon see...
