The VIZO products just keep rolling in! This time we have a quick look at VIZO's Paragon 2.5" External Hard Drive enclosure with push button back-up. With one touch backup, you have the added advantage of single backup/restore/synchronize. And because the Paragon uses a USB 2.0 interface, you can take it anywhere and use it with any computer running Windows 98SE/ME/2000/XP. Let's take a closer look.

     The VIZO Paragon isn't made out of cheap plastic, this baby is made out of metal. Notice the mirror like finish. Unlike some companies, VIZO gives you more than just the enclosure. In the box you'll find a handy carrying case, cables, drivers & software disk, and of course directions.

      In the rear of the enclosure is the power port, USB port and the pushbutton back-up. One thing I must mention is the Paragon does not comes with a power supply. This may seem like a rip off, but most 2.5" hard drives will run off USB power alone so the power supply is not needed.

     Internally, the Paragon is pretty simple. All you will find is the hard mounted interface for 2.5" IDE hard drives.

Conclusion

     The Paragon is another nice VIZO product. The Paragon is a very high quality external hard drive enclosure and it's obvious VIZO really takes pride in their products. The Paragon is also one of the few metal hard drive enclosures we've seen, and we've seen quite a few. The only problem with VIZO is their products are very hard to find in North America. If you live in Europe, Japan, or Taiwan, VIZO products are readily available. Hopefully we'll start seeing VIZO being sold at our favorite retail outfits right here in America.
