Today at the Club, we have a very special treat!  Danger Den has given us the opportunity to review their new case, the “Water Box Plus”.  This case is a very different than your standard ATX case on a multitude of levels.  First off, the case is specifically designed for water cooling.  Secondly, the case is completely clear, and finally the layout is far from the norm.  Let’s take a second to look at all of these aspects.

Water Cooling specific:  The case is laid in a way to be easy to setup a water cooling box, specifically the Danger Den Black Ice Pro Single Pass and Black Ice Xtreme Single Pass Radiators and Danger Den DDC pumps.  Many other radiators and pumps may fit; I encourage any interested buyer to contact Danger Den directly if they want to find out more.  On hand I had the Asetek WaterChill 3x120 kit, however it was much too large for this case, as the case is large enough for a 2x120 radiator at most.  We will be using extreme air for the review, however I will do my best to point out aspects of the case that will be of interest to water cooling enthusiasts. 

High quality clear acrylic construction:  Another eye-catching feature of this case is the clear acrylic construction.  This combined with it’s unique layout will definitely be a crowd pleaser at LAN parties. 

Unique Layout:  The layout of this case is what really separates this case from most others; the motherboard lays flat above on top, while the radiator, pump, power supply and drives lay underneath.

• Up to two each (w) 80mm Fans and (2) 120mm Fans.
• Light Kits, LEDs, Cathodes to pimp the case and hardware
• Wire sleeving and other parts to hide the wires!
• NOVUS Cleaner #1, #2, and #3 can be used to clean the case. Cleaning should be done before installation.

Out of the Box:

The Water Box Plus ships in a non-descript brown box.

     Our first hint at what is coming….the case comes disassembled into distinct panels.  Everything is packed tight and secure, and all parts are individually wrapped.

     Everything that we will need to build the case is included; screws, nuts, gloves, feet, allen wrench, and the power/reset switches.
